So I left work on Friday, and made my way down to Weschester to visit with Lilli and Jake for the weekend. Jake wanted to go to the Intrepid, and far be it from me to deny myself the opportunity to talk about the Navy. I let him check out my cruise book in the car on the ride down, and was attacked by about a bajillion questions, usually starting with, "Drew, when the ship is at war..." or "Drew when the ship is at battle..." It was a really fun day followed by Dim Sum, and Peking Duck, which I'd never had before, but am now a fan of. The rest of the weekend wasn't boring either, but doesn't get mentioned here. Shhhhh it's a secret, and something about my inner voice. Thursday, December 2. 2004Happy 2nd Anniversary To My Parents!
Nov 30th 2002 at the Four Seasons Hotel in NYC, my Mother married Hank Karen, who has proved to be a great Husband, and mentor! Congratulations to the both of you! Saturday, November 20. 2004Adam And Wendy...... AwwwwIt's official, he proposed, she said yes. Mike and I are going to coordinate a knife fight to see who gets to be the best man.
For almost 4 years now I've known these guys, and the only better couple that I've seen is Linus and Lucy. I'm glad Adam finally grew a pair, and that Wendy didn't decide to stay in Asia, working for Joyce Chen. Good luck, we love you! Sunday, October 3. 2004Insomniac, I'm Awake!TakeTheCann0lis: slept till the crack of noon on saturday TakeTheCann0lis: spent an hour fumbling aorund my house TakeTheCann0lis: went back to sleep till 4 TakeTheCann0lis: did some work around the house till 8 TakeTheCann0lis: went to the bar TakeTheCann0lis: came home 12 TakeTheCann0lis: crashed TakeTheCann0lis: woke at 330 TakeTheCann0lis: still awake TakeTheCann0lis: hoping the sun will rise faster so I can go to the diner and get breakfast and coffee TakeTheCann0lis: that's my story and I'm sticking to it. 0830 Awake, and still kicking. Planing on leaving for The Mug in about a half hour, but I'm hoping Ethan will wake so I don't have to go alone. My Sunday NY Times should be arriving today even though my subscription was supposed to start 2 weeks ago. So maybe I'll look outside, and if the times is there I'll bring that and go alone. Regardless, they make this stuffed baked potato filled with egg, cheese (yellow, but not chedder as the menu states) and corned beef hash. Abhorently unhealthy, but very tasty! 0906: Check Email 0907: Watching my virus scan progress. 0908: Check Email 0909: ??????? 1530 Ethan woke up, and my NY Times did not arrive. I contacted the subscription service to ask when I should expect it. To make a long story short. It is broken. A make up delivery person shows up tosses me a paper, which turned out to be the Boston Globe. I wind up with The Times, and The Globe. All is well in the world, and we leave for The Mug where I stuff my tummy filled with all sorts of greasy goodness. Spent the early part of the afternoon going down by the beach collecting some big rocks to make a fire pit in our backyard. Arrived home, assembled previously mentioned fire pit, and hung some artwork around the house that had been leaning against the wall for some time now. Relaxing for a bit I haphazardly drank tea, and read the paper. |
